Why is it every one of 3 pre payment cards fails with the error message Code 35 after a single use ? Every single one. One use, fails. The previous supplier I could use a card for years yet since you took over each card lasts a single use only.
a massive waste of my time being messed around as I try to get the meter looked at.

Hmm... It sounds to me as if the gold chip on the card is dirty or damaged. Try giving it a quick wipe with a clean dry cloth, then pop it back in the meter again. Error Code 35 means the gas meter couldn't read the card chip correctly. Did you see any errors at the shop by any chance?
If you still don't get any luck, it's possible that the chip in the card is physically damaged and will need to be replaced. You can ask for one to be sent out in the post, or get a TAG Code to register a new one yourself.
If you still keep getting Error 35 across multiple cards, then I'm tempted to start diverting the culprit away from the cards and call out the meter itself as being potentially faulty. Personally, I find it rather unlikely that at least five cards work just once and then completely fail, especially if they're brand new and are meant to be basically the same design across almost all suppliers. You may want to get the meter looked at with a view to having it replaced if it destroys any more cards.

Hi , can someone tell me how to speak about new gas card nobody is answering the phones.
All methods of contacting customer service are listed here. If you try phoning as soon as they open at 9am you may get through quicker than at other times.
I know little or nothing about prepay meters but if you can post what exactly the issue is with your new gas card then perhaps someone here can assist.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
