Hi I have recently moved into a property and removed old storage heaters.
the property is set up for econ 7 which is no longer needed. Annoyingly there are several sockets and a water heater that are wired into econ 7 and do not work during the day (the sockets have no power until 12:00am - 07:00am)
this means my water will only heat up overnight and I cannot use the boost function, I also cannot use any heating during the day.
I have contacted several electricians about this and none seem to know what to do and advise EON should sort it EON have told me to get an electrician outโฆ
there is no timer in the property
, so I cannot override it myself
I think I know what this is, as I've seen examples before.
Could you show me some photos of your meters and the meter cupboard please? It sounds like your electric meter has either a local timeswitch, or is an RTS Meter with a Radio Teleswitch attached. This would likely explain what's happening. A local electrician can rewire the internal circuits to get them off the timer, but you'd still need to get the timeswitch removed by E.On in order to be truly off the current Economy 7 setup. This may require a Smart Meter upgrade as part of the process, but you won't have to pay to have that done - you'll only incur the costs of a local electrician doing the rewiring afterwards.
This guide from my home forum explains a bit more about who's responsible for what part of the equipment. You need to get both parties involved here as it's technically a shared/joint responsibility thing.
Hope it helps

the solution:
I had to get an electrician to adjust them on the fuse box.
essentially there is a main circuit and an e7 circuit so I needed all of them moved into the main circuit.
