Hello Community!

I've already kind of introduced myself, but having had a good browse this evening, it seems I didn't 'get the memo'. Oops.
Why did I join? Hmmm. Have you ever lived in a scattered hamlet of 200 souls spread out over ten square miles? Very little human interaction, round here. Sheep, on the other hand...
How am I finding it? Hard to navigate, but quite interesting. It's solved an issue I had, so very positive so far.
What fills my spare time? That question doesn't apply to me. None of my time is actually 'spare'. I run my own electronics company, have dogs and chickens, I'm a carer for my disabled missus, trying to turn two acres of wilderness into a garden and am working clearing an area to build a shed to house my vast collection of LEGO trains. It's going to have to be a very big shed and one day I hope I will have enough time to actually play with them properly.
A funny fact about me? I did a couple of projects inside the Kremlin a few years back and have met Vladimir Putin. Actually, that's not so funny. What was funny is that the head of IT who I had to liaise with not only looked like a meerkat, but was also called Sergei! Oh, and I collect LEGO trains!
A random question? Retro sweeties or warm socks from Santa this year?! What's on your wish list?

Hey @retrotecchie
I have so many questions! I love that you casually mention working in the Kremlin 😂 I'll never look at my free Sergei meerkat toy in the same way again.
Sounds like you have a really interesting life, even if sheep make up a lot of your interactions.
Glad you found us here at the community and look forward to hearing more about your life 😃

@retrotecchie
the scheme ha been substantially changed this time around I think something around 350,000 persons on disability benefits are no longer covered , but 750,000 others are expected to be included instead and the grant is now £150. The eligibility is rather murky as it appears to be fairly automatic but with DWP and the energy suppliers deciding marginal cases the scope for error is vast. It’s got cat es troph written all over itCurrent Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless. -
