My wife and I have severe disabilities, mainly physical and secondary mental health due to living with our disabilities and chronic long term pain. We saved up for a hydrotherapy tub to temporarily relieve our chronic pain, muscle spasms etc and to help relax us, giving us a break and trying to feel temporary normality, so therapeutic. Picking up our medications from the pharmacy looks like weve been shopping at a supermarket with numerous large bags filled. Also charge 2 x 12amp batteries overnight for disability scooters. I have also recently purchased a plug in hybrid car that does 70 miles on a charge, I don't drive often or far so I doubt would use any petrol at all. Our hydrotherapy tub is heated overnight from midnight to 7am which is off peak but there is no tariff for me off peak. It costs approximately 75% of our monthly bill to heat and power with it being on its own 40 amp circuit. The EV tariff would save us over £400 a year. Is there no help for me? We are now both contractual home workers also as well, being virtually housebound, as the office cannot accommodate us anymore, and lucky we can still have this option rather than being unemployed. Can Eon consider the eligibility for being on the EV tariff include health related overnight disability health related therapeutic devices?? Thankyou
If you have a hybrid and a smart meter, that's all you need for the EV tariff. Actually, you don't really even need the car!
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
@retrotecchie really, that would be fab, I thought they would check your car reg and car make etc. Yes I have a smart meter. That's great news. Thanks very much. My cars on order at the moment so will give it a go, will save me alot of money. Thanks again
Hi @JeffGlover 👋, hope your good! Did you contact customer services regarding the EV tariff? Some great advice from @retrotecchie, we'd love to hear how you've gotten on! 😃
