Unfortunately this is a common complaint and I don’t think things will improve any time soon. Replies to an email can take two weeks and lengthy waits on the phone seem normal. If you can phone customer service when they open at 9am Mon-Fri you may get through relatively quickly.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
As you will have evidence of you attempts, I’d sit and wait, letting any money earn interest for you .
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@cazyfaith We are really sorry that you had that nobody got back in touch with you yet. We are experiencing a really high volume of demand. Is there anything in the mean time that we can help you with ?
You're probably best not getting through - every time I have they just end up making the situation worse. In my case they reduced my DD by £66 a month after getting it wrong several times, which they assured me was right. Now they refund my DD a week after it's taken - my eon account is then credited with with government £66, followed by another refund to make the total refund up to up to £66. Net result is I'm paying £66 less than I should.
