Hi Hattie, the names Pete and i have joined the community so i have some voice.
I have been transferred over to Eon due to the unfortunate demise of Igloo whom i transferred to from Bulb.
My first reach out if you like to the wider Eon community is how in hell do you navigate the "control panel" ? Frankly its a dogs dinner ( no reflection on you Hattie ) , but really ! Who ever put this monstrosity together needs to go back to web school. I thought first it was due to my newness with Eon but having spent some frustrating times trying to find info i've decide its just simply not fit for purpose. Compared to both Bulb and Igloo it is a mess. I dont need all the "how to" stuff at the top of the screen, i just need to go to what i want to see, namely past readings and bills and preferably a graph of usage over time. Not an easy thing on this site i can tell you.
Please have your tech boys have a look at this and come up with something that is user friendly

I came from Igloo - only have the one smart meter (electric) which you are not yet picking up on - is there a procedure for me to get Eon to take over this smart meter and automatically get the meter readings? Thanks -

It would of been more prudent to read this thread I started first. However, you can't go to the Ombudsman without a deadlock letter. This is the fastest place to engage your problem so I should suggest if at first you don't succeed...don't give up๐

Thought I'd write a post to let you all know who I am a little.
I'm a Community Coordinator here at E.ON Next so you can probably expect to see a little more of me in the coming weeks and months ๐
I thought I'd start off by answering the initial questions Hat posted way back when to help you all to get to know me a bit!
Why did you decide to join the community?
I didn't.... THEY FORCED ME! ๐ฒ (Just kidding) - As we work to get to know each other a little better, and as ever more of you are joining the Community, I'll be an extra pair of hands to help you all along the way ๐
How are you finding it?
I've been lurking around in the shadows for a little while now to see what's what and I'm impressed! Not just by the Community forum itself, but the members (you guys) and how I've seen you all helping each other (watch this space, as it expands, things will only get better and better!)
What fills your spare time?
During my spare time, I'm a sucker for video games, obsessed with Resident Evil since they sorted out that game franchise finally! (and bevvys with the friends, not on a school night though mind!)
What's a really funny fact about yourself?
Not something I usually think about, however, this just popped into my head since I glanced over whilst writing this. I love tech and recently invested in a Robovac for downstairs, which I had to name for the purpose of using with Alexa. I can be heard everyday asking Alexa to tell Meryl Sweep to start cleaning (to the confusion of anyone who overhears me)
I'm really looking forward to get to speak with all of you!

The proof is really in the pudding (or should I say name) that sustainability and looking after our plannet is right at the very core for me ๐. Its important to me that we can all work together to support one another and get the job done; here at the community we are really able to do that! Wether that be questions about smart meters and those pesky IHD units or just simple tips on how to be more sustainable and keep costs low.
I can't wait to get stuck in and help along the way to answer any questions and fix any problems that you might be facing ๐ in the meantime, you will catch me playing with my very British Bulldog Beryl, feel free to ask for pictures, I am never in short supply ๐.

Hi, my FIT account has just migrated from EON to EON next. Looking at the website, there would appear to be a lack of continuity or consistency. My next readings should be submitted on the 18th April, with a requirement to provide a reading on 31st March. However, the site talks about monthly readings. Everything seems vague and unfamiliar.

I have joined the community to try and get some advice as how to move forward. Tariff is ending in a few days and after previously listening to Martin Lewis was just going to leave getting a new fixed price. However, with the current going on's would I be better to get a fixed rate moving forward. We currently pay ยฃ100 per month (more than the suggested ยฃ80) for gas and electricity and are in credit by ยฃ100. I am being offered a 12 month fixed rate of ยฃ170 per month. Really not sure what to do, any advice would be much appreciated.
I am originally from Birmingham, but lived in Luton for many years. Only joined a few minutes ago but looks a good site. Spare time involves loving being with the grandkids and following Aston Villa home and away. A funny thing about me, not too sue, but have made a bit of an eejit of myself on TV a good few times with my thick Brummy accent.

I've been following the news quite closely and there is lots of discussion about how the horrific scenes in Ukraine will affect supply & demand of oil, and gas.
How many grandchildren do you have and you can't just leave the TV bit in there and not give us more details!!! ๐ -

Its not easy knowing what the best thing to do is at times like this ๐ค just for a bit of peace of mind its the prices that are fixed not the monthly amount so if you're using more or less your payments will still be reviewed accordingly, any over payments will be refunded back at your annual review or before if need be ๐

Why was I told by your operative that my SMETS 1 smart meter would be working by the end of last year when you clearly don't adhere to what you say? Further, why are you fleecing customers and lying with your numerous statements that all of your energy is from renewable sources. If it is coming from wind and the sun and not generated at power stations or obtained from the North sea or Norway in the case of gas, there should be no reason for the recent or future price increase. IN OTHER WORDS WHY ARE YOU INCREASING PRICES IF THE ENERGY IS COMING FROM RENEWABLE SOURCES? Please provide a detailed answer to this question. ๐๐๐ -

@JcLondon I'm not a customer myself so I've never tried to get through, but I know the upcoming price increases, recent bad weather and current events means that just about every supplier is getting swamped with phone calls. You might want to try again later or send an email to hi@eonnext.com . -

and @JcLondon theuknowntech is spot on, we're in a little bit of a perfect storm at the moment and we have a really high number of customers getting in touch with us, meaning much longer wait times than we'd like. If you don't want to hold on the phone (let's face it, who does!) then direct messaging us on Facebook or Twitter may be the quicker option. We are also a lot busier here so taking around 24 hours to reply but at least you're free to get on with other things whilst you wait.

@Hatwildeman Hi website doesn't look too bad at a first glance but I can't find things that were on the previous Eon site. I look after my brother's bills for him and although I don't pay them for him I check that he's putting enough in his meter to last him. Slight problem I now can't see what payments he's making and I know if I ask him he will tell me he's put in more than he has and that he's binned the receipt. Oh and that once again his his meter is showing lower as he's used loads of electricity since he put it in. Any chance you can point me in the direction of Payg payments?
