    Hello,
I changed to card payment on my gas some months ago. However, I am wondering why I am still being asked to submit gas meter reading? This I do not understand, please could somebody explain this to me.
    Thanking you very much.

If you have an online account for your electricity and can manage your electricity on line, they ask you for gas meter readings so they can give you more accurate estimates of your energy costs ongoing, and estimate your usage for the year. Even if you just put money on your card and top the meter up, it is always handy to keep track of your own usage and by sending them to E.On Next, they can help keep track for you.

It also helps to verify that your meter is measuring the same amount of gas as you are actually paying for.

Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
