All I can tell you is that my replacement meter started from scratch at zero, and NPower estimated my usage up to the date their engineers uninstalled the one with the dead battery, which appeared on my bill, but never on the replacement meter. If they can't retrieve any data, it's most probable your bills will be estimated.
