It's been a while. Last car I took skiing in Berwang was an E-reg Montego! I spent over a decade working in Germany, and if we timed it right and finished on a Friday near the border, we'd go skiing most weekends in winter. Happy days!

We regularly fly into MUC and the possibilities from there are endless.
Still fancy the ultimate weekend which would be to get an early Saturday flight dressed ready to ski, jump onto the train to Garmisch and change onto the cog railway at Grainau; ski the Zugspitze ;stay overnight and ski Sunday then a late train/flight back home
My preparation in my garden is complete. I made sure all outside water butts have been drained, cleaned and ready for the Spring rains. I've also drained the hoses that are connected up to an outside tap and about to insulate the outside taps with a jacket although something like bubble wrap inside a plastic plant pot should suffice again this winter.
Managed to top up most of my loft area to 270mm (the hard to reach areas only had 100mms max) although I'll need another roll to finish it off before the expected tumbling of the temperatures by the weekend in the NE.
