Bill calculation error

    I gave up on EON and reported the error to the Ombudsman, this worked and I received the following from EON: " I have investigated the account and would like to apologise for the system error on the bills since December 2022. The calculation you have provided is correct and I have found for the energy price cap deduction the system has not taken the 0.6 into the calculation so instead just done 999 x 0.0422. I have raised this with our IT team to get this rectified and more than happy to credit the difference to your account and am sorry this has occurred."

    It looks like they were ignoring the decimal places and rounding down to the nearest whole number. I assume that if they did this with all customers then it would be worth quite a lot to EON.

    I suggest you check your bills and report any errors.
