As some may know the Gov opened applications for ECO+ (now known as the Great British Insulation Scheme) to help people receive help towards the cost of insulation.
We applied using the .gov form and were told that EON Next would be in touch within 10 days to commence our application... Well, exactly 9 days after submission we got an email from EON saying that they are getting through the high number of applications and will be in touch when they can.
I am worried as I know from the Ofgem reports that energy companies have actually pushed back on certain aspects of the scheme so it's in their interest to stall as long as possible.
We are waiting on these insulation measures in order to decorate our house, as we'll need internal cavities putting in.
Does anyone "in the know" know anything about EON's progress with the scheme or any idea of the kind of lead times we are looking at?
