I write because I got some useful correspondence last year after writing to "hi@eonnext.com" with a query about my electricity account.

Their first reply looked rather like yours, from a firstname of a customer services representative. My email system being more thorough could see a more complicated email destination behind the label of form "<firstname> E.ON Next", in my case "n+u_6234bf3f45a9d837686feaf9_1a826aa4184ccfa7dd57 2ccd855da430@eon-next-cabac46b5ea2.intercom-mail.com" which looks totally suss but turned out to be legit. I think that you get a firstname to write your "to" but whether it gets queued for that person or for their team is unknown to me. My point is that if you were expecting a reply from eon-next then they would start by sending a question which only you the genuine account owner should be able to answer, from a totally suss looking coded email address which displays as an inner-city looking firstname from e.on

I am bemused and suspicious why they put a dot in the middle of a company name, so if you are writing a complaint about credit balances being arbitrarily hoarded then do be doubly careful to cc a copy to yourself or a trusted friend and that near to the top of a complaint it is addressed to a companyname and companynumber at a defined business address, just in case they intend to run off with your cash and claim that you didn't spell their companyname like they do. Please do take time to add a few words here and there to be polite to Ayanda, who is not the one who nicked your money and ought to give it back.

Hi @Ndc93 This is mainly a customer to customer forum. Eon Next members do pop by from time to time. If you are concerned it might be worth contacting Customer Services by either WhatsApp or Twitter for speed. The end of the address (@eon-next-cabac46b5ea2.intercom-mail.com) is from Eon Next.
