Hi, I wondered how I go about adding my son's name to my EON account. I have a terminal illness and my son lives with me. I have just completed doing the same thing with my bank account which is now in both our names.This will save him the hassle of closing and re-opening a bank account and hopefully the same thing with gas/electric and water bills.Thanks for reading this.

Sorry to hear that. You have to get through talk to customer services, as your son will be taking on joint legal liability for the account. There are long waits currently and it would be preferable to ring at 09:00 on the dot, when you are both together. An alternative is to do a moving out, moving in dance online, but that would mean you or him on the account not both together.

you could try email with “terminal illness-adding son to account”in the message subject line,giving you account details and requesting an appointment for a call back. Whether that would work I’m not certain.

Hey @SPJB I am sorry to hear of your circumstances. What we can do @SPJB is add your son on as an account user, so although he won't be named as the liable bill payer he will be able to discuss or if you wish manage the account on your behalf. The quickest way to do this is to give our energy specialists a call (you will both need to be present for consent purposes) or if this is not an option pop us an email and we can send you a form to fill in that you can send back to us 😊
