It has been agreed that energy cutomer will benefit from the £400 EBSS in the next 6 months. This means applying a credit of £66.67 to the energy usage per month. Unfortunately this has not been the case as EON Next have got everthing wrong from tariffs to how EBSS will be credited to customers fuel usage.
The question is will the energy company apply £66 or £66.67? If it is £66 then a whole lot of 3.8 million customers will loss £0.67x3800000= £2534600 a month on credit.
The issue is EON Next need to be transparent about where our money goes and how customers can benefit with relief to their energy bills. This is just profit before people.
It's a £400 grant that will be paid from October 2022 you don’t need to pay it back. This discount replaces the previously announced £200 loan.
This will be paid in installments over 6 months to help with energy bills over the winter. You'll receive £66 in October & November then £67 each month December - March. How you receive this will depend on what meter type you have & how you pay:
