Following today’s government announcement, I spoke to e-on next as I too have a fixed contract starting next week which will cost more than the new cap. The response was positive in that they are planning to discount fixed tariff prices down to meet the new cap and customers will be advised in the next few days. I was impressed by the call handlers knowledge, which suggests they had been planning for it
