We’ve spoken about this before and I’ve seen you recommend it to others since. I don’t know what has stopped me from getting the app but seeing the image you posted has given me the nudge that was needed.

I’ll get it later and report back.

I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.

For some reason I was nervous of this app. I had read of people thinking too many questions were asked. I wasn't sure I found the correct one as the image you posted above and one of the logo in another thread have dark backgrounds and the app I found was, well, bright.

Anyway, I took the plunge and downloaded it. The only info I had to supply was email address, postcode and the GUID from my IHD. It took a little while to get some data but looking good now.

I really like the app and can already see where the spikes are and I'm able to pin down the high usage points. Thanks for the info.

Now I can confirm an advantage to half-hourly smart meter inputs.

@DebF_EONNext past first you need to update tariffs on IHD. My over month showing old tariff and nobody from your company care to update this

The quickest way to get this done is by sending a Direct Message to eon-next.

Send a DM on either Twitter, Facebook or Whatsapp with:

Your Full Name
Full Address
Account Number

Tell them your tariff rates on your IHD are wrong and can they push through an update for you.

Hi,

I realise I'm late to the thread, but I wanted to say I naively thought that I would have access to the half-hourly usage data, and see the peak and off-peak usage breakdown, at the very least on a daily basis, but ideally on a half-hourly basis.
Am I right in thinking the smart meter itself can't cope with peak and off-peak tariffs? (Also, it's still set to my previous fixed tariff, which ran out over 10 days ago.)
I find that actually I only have access to daily billing, 4 days behind, and apparently not correct, which is more than a bit disappointing.
People are saying the bills when they arrive are correct, which will be nice, but to me the point of the Smart meter is to have real-time information.

@HarryHH - The EON app is rubbish and unable to show much useful information

I know I'm going to start sounding like stuck record 😁, but I would recommend downloading the Bright app from Glowmarkt.com (Hildebrand).

This allows you to view your usage & cost in ½ hourly /hourly/daily/weekly/monthly increments (previous day's data is normally available around midnight)

Once your meters are registered you can also download the raw data from glowmarkt to do your own spreadsheet analysis etc

In my case I'm on the Next Drive tariff with different day/night time tariffs, but EON has been unable to update the correct tariff details on my meter.

In the Bright app you're able to set the correct tariff and standing order values which allows Bright to display the actual true costs

Smart meter/IHD tariff updates can be easily requested by sending an email entitled Smart Meter/IHD Tariff Update Request to hi@eonnext.com and including your personal and account details in the body of the text.

😜 They may be easy to request, but whether or not EON are able to update them is the question (in my case NOT) 🤣
