MY AIHD did work now NOT RECOGNISED. I checked on citizens advice meter check site... Put my MPAN number in and postcode.... It says meter not recognised on Smart Meter Network????
I don’t think that it’s an AIHD makes a great deal of difference as to why it’s not working. May I ask you to look at your meter and the communications hub above it and tell us what each light on the hub is doing? For each light, colour and frequency of flashing is required.
please remember that unless we have “Eon Next” in our title we’re other customers trying to help.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and think the smart meter programme is a waste of our money. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
Yes that’s them. The SW Han and WAN should glad every 5 seconds. Another red light flashes at varying frequency depending on your current energy use. If the earlier mentioned lights are not flashing it probably means the communications hub is not working as it should, and that is why your AIHD is currently useless. It’s customer services for you to report the fault.
Thanks I tried telling them that but they said it's sending readings so it's ok. I can see the red light flashing all the time like you said. But the row of about 4 lights inc Han and Wan don't seem to flash. When I told agent he said I wouldn't see them as they would only flash every 5 seconds or so? Can they sort it remotely or does it need an engineer please. Thanks for help
Also is this why my meters not registered on the smart meter register according to the citizens advice meter checker had the meter fitted 19th May. Thanks you been so helpful
Teresa
Yes, so if you look for 35 seconds you should see them flash circa 7 times. If they don't flash then something is wrong. And since this is a new installation and using an AIHD indicates some sort of disability on the part of the customer they should get it fixed ASAP.
@Poppy_EONNext might be able to facilitate a rapid fix.

Thanks can they fix it remotely or do I need them to visit do you think please. Should all 4 flash?
SW = software
HAN =Home Area Network
WAN=Wide Ara Network
GAS+ Gas meter(if you have one)
MESH + a special arrangement where households share a sort of local net with one or more homes providing a connection for the other.
If your HAN isn'r working then neither will your AIHD. My guess is that it needs an engineers visit, because if the WAN isn't working then a remote fix will not be possible. Its up to you to press for that.
Hi eon next fitted a smets1 meter shouldn't they have fitted a newer version smets2? We don't get good phone signal here do you kmow which version of meter is best for poor signal areas please
