Hi, definitely meter configuration, Auxiliary Load Control Switch times need changed, this is what switches the Economy 7 circuit on and off, it should be in sync with tariff times, apparently a command can be sent to the meter to do this.
@Beasel My meter has two power outputs. One regular (lights, fridge, washing m/c etc) that's on all the time and one Off Peak only that's on during the off peak times. Billing at Off Peak rates is done for everything used during the off peak times. So my storage heaters (connected only to the off peak supply) are charged during the off peak hours from the off peak supply. No need for any other timers. E.ON do the timing. If they want you to use a smart meter then they supply the off peak facility as per your standard meter which is being replaced. That's to the best of my understanding. (My water is communally supplied to our block of flats and nothing to do with E.ON)

Yes, I sent this with my first complaint, and also replied to their response with the following, again 🙄
"Account doesn't need any details updated, it's the meter that needs updated, by remotely sending an ECAUL command to my meter to adjust the ALCS times to 01:30-08:30.(instead of current 00:30-08:30)"
A reply today to above, fingers crossed.

That is correct, it is the meter that needs amending which can be rectified by the IFA team.
Once I receive a response regarding this, I will contact you with the outcome."
