Can we have an idea of how this is going to be billed please?

    1. Will all electricity used during the charge periods be at low rate even if they are outside 0000-0700?
    2. If not, how will you allow for loss during charging? This assumes you are taking the added charge from car metrics.
    3. Already, the app and data provided is inadequate, there are those of us who really want to look at more detailed data, if only to ensure billing is accurate.
    4. How many smart charges per billing period to qualify for the £10 rebate?

    Thanks.

@strickers - although I'm not currently using this Drive Smart Charging tariff I'm almost certain that...

    1. since EOn are controlling the charging process and telling the car when to charge at particular times, they will know which ½ hour time period is used for charging
    2. therefore, because the meter records in ½ hourly kWh chunks, they will know to bill the electricity for those periods at the cheaper rate
      1. I don't know if the car communicates back how much energy it has used - if so they could split the ½ hourly kWh amount for the car at the cheaper rate, and the remaining household usage at the standard rate.

    3. there are Glow API programming interfaces provided by Bright/Glowmarkt which allow you to pull a lot of very detailed information directly from the meter (via Glow/DCC).
      1. I'm currently tinkering with these APIs to develop software to read my meter on a daily basis & store the usage on a database... so I'll take a look and see if the information is accessible from there
      2. Glow actually provide an online user interface called Swagger UI which allows you to manually enter commands & return the data ... it looks quite daunting to start with, but there is information on how to use it if you Google for it
      3. the Swagger UI is here - you have to have your meters registered with the Bright app to use it >> https://api.glowmarkt.com/api-docs/v...source_findAll
        1. and some general usage details here>>> https://docs.glowmarkt.com/Glowmarkt...rForBright.pdf

Thanks. I have access to Glowmarkt data using their IHD and MQTT through Home Assistant. I just wish E.On would provide more granular data and date we hope, an API!
