I've had a few DM queries about the Next Drive Smart v2 (not to be confused with Next Drive) recently as we've sent out invites for testing. Some people have received an invite however their car isn't on the list so can't take part. The reason for this is because we are only able to communicate with certain vehicle brands and models at this time.
Just to give you the heads up the vehicles that we can currently communicate with can be found on this list on our website: E.ON Next: Next Drive Smart Tariff - Supported Vehicles this has no impact on the current Next Drive EV tariff 😊
If you are currently taking part in the tariff test we would love to hear your thoughts on it 🚗⚡

@Doggins this is the list at the moment I don't know if this will change or not in the future but at the moment it seems that if we don't have your vehicle on the list then we can't communicate with it. You can still a have the normal EV Next Drive tariff it's just for the purposes of the Next Drive Smart v2 tariff that is currently in testing 😊
@DebF_EONNext Is there any chance of following the "tentacles" and connecting to the charger instead e.g. the Ohme which can then quite happily monitor the SOC of the car.

Ohme can't monitor the SOC of the car...
But yes, you can remotely switch charging on and off using its API instead of the car's.
There is unfortunately no signalling back from the car to the EVSE. The only way to get SOC is via supported web api to the car / server, which if the Ohme or other EVSE can, then so too can EON.
@DebF_EONNext I'm on Next Drive - would there be any reason why I couldn't switch to Next Drive Smart to take advantage of the cheaper tariffs even though my EV is not on the compatible cars list?

Unfortunately not at this time @thepopcop as we are only able to communicate with certain models, I believe this is down to the tech being used so at this time if your car isn't on that list then you can't switch I'm afraid. Hopefully at some point in the future it might open up to different manufacturers and models etc but for now it's only those makes and models.
Signed up and connected my car Cupra V3 77kw E boost MY25 model but trial charge fails every time your compatibility states Born 77 kWh e-Boost, Is the new model included in this?
