had our vestel ev charger installed since october last year (4 months ish) and more often than not when we set the app to charge overnight, we wake up and find the message on out phone ‘Charger offline’ resulting in our car not being charged.
we also get this ‘charger offline’ notification several times a day, even when the car is not plugged in and when the car is elsewhere.
we have noticed on our eero router app that the wifi connection is only constantly 1 bar, even though all the other devices in the household are full bar signals. The charger is only 4/5 metres away from the router and only a thin wall separates them.
we have tried to contact customer service on a number of occasions, they have remotely restarted the charger and there has been no change.
Has anyone else had this issue, if so can they point us in the right direction please. We have paid quite alot of money for an ev charger to be installed and since october i can probably count on two hands how many times its charged correctly.
@Steffie06 - I know nothing about the Vestel charger, but out of interest just checked its specification online.
It looks as though they come with an ethernet port as standard, so maybe since the router's close you could try connecting it directly to your router with an ethernet cable.
It will ignore the WiFi completely and use the direct wired connection by default (won't need any wifi passwords etc), providing a rock solid connection.
