@Lshaw22
This is something you'll need to contact your home insurance about.

Many years ago we had a power surge - it was widespread, and many households were affected. I had a number of items that were damaged and i can remember claiming for the damage. But who from?Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

@meldrewreborn
Your claim would be against your home contents insurance.
When my house was rewired three years ago and the old 16th Edition consumer unit was replaced with an up-to-date 19th Edition version, they installed a surge arrestor as a matter of course. Prevention is better than cure!
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
