We’re excited to announce the successful launch of gridX with E.ON Next Solar & Storage 🎉.
Working with tech start-up gridx, E.ON Next are developing a new energy management system which allows a direct communication with energy assets, making it a quicker and slicker journey for customers to view, evaluate and control their energy, through their app experience.
So we’re delighted to share that last week we installed our first gridX hub alongside an E.ON Next PV & Battery system install, bringing new and exciting benefits at the touch of a screen 📲.
⭐ On install day the customer’s panels, energy supply and storage data set up within 10 minutes on the E.ON Home app.
⭐ Solar, battery and energy changes are updated within the app in seconds.
⭐ A direct, robust and steerable connection between E.ON Next and the customer’s installation.
⭐Access to future premium supply and export tariffs and offers in development to maximise savings and earnings.
Tell me more about gridX 🤔:
gridX, who we fully own, is an energy optimisation specialist with a European wide customer base.
The gridX system can connect systems from almost 50 different tech manufacturers into a single platform, giving homeowners clear and easy access to the data on how their system is performing, meaning energy flows in a home can be adjusted to the preference of the owners ⚡.
Whether that is making best use of all the energy generated in the home, maximising payback when buying or selling power to the grid at off peak or peak times or reducing carbon emissions by relying on renewable energy sources 🤗.
So what are the future plans for gridx 🗒:
Exciting plans are underway where we’ll also use gridX for customers air source heat pumps and explore how our Electric Vehicles customers can benefit too, including future playmaker app experiences 😯.
