I have been told my IHD cannot show the correct rates when on a Next Drive tarrif as it cannot show the split rates. Is this true??
IHD and Next Drive

I've had different replies when calling into customer services so I'm hoping someone on here may be able to shed more light on my question. IHD always works fine when on the variable tarif but have no swapped to the Next Drive tarrif.

Correct. Use the IHD for displaying kWh used, not the cost.
Calculations for the bill are done at the supplier end, not the meter end.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -
Thank you, Just a bit Anal and like to see exactly what I've used towards the end of each day, will have to use the App now to see correct info -
If your meter is like mine and can only store the single (daytime) rate, that is all you'll be able to see on your IHD.
There are so many different variants of meters out there it's difficult to say what anyone else's meter is capable of - I found an online user guide for my L&G meter which shows there should be ToU registers for the different rates and usage, but these aren't present (or haven't been activated) on my version of the meter
