I'm on the same tariff for gas and electricity. I couldn't work out why my bill vs app vs IHD usage rates look like a number salad so I built a spreadsheet. This confirmed the IHD shows usage (including VAT) + standing charge (including VAT) for both Gas and Electricity. It gets the maths right for my tariff and kWh used.
The App gives different results to the IHD. I confirmed the app usage price EXCLUDES the standing charge. I'm not sure why, but fair enough...
But then I then discovered that for the app, the electricity usage value INCLUDES VAT. The gas usage value EXCLUDES VAT. This makes absolutely no sense. It means that the gas usage price appears 5% lower than it should be, whilst the electricity price is correct.
The app, I'm using ios, now gives you the option of including or excluding vat and standing charges . You can change it by tapping the menu button circled in red in the screenshot below. It might be worth checking that your app is up to date and that vat is ticked.
Thank you for your response - I'm on Android and don't have such a setting option. I first assumed it was something I was doing wrong, but have hunted throughout the app and don't have any options to change this.
What version of Android are you using? I'm on 11 and the app version is 1.12.4193. The option is available.

It sounds like it's just an oversight in the android version then @wTiLxSiM. I don't use the eonnext app that often myself as I use the Bright app but the 'Usage' part of the eonnext app seems to be different every time I go into it.
@wTiLxSiM I've just randomly checked some figures on my Eon Next app and VAT is showing on both Electricity and Gas (separately and collectively) for daily weekly monthly and yearly. I'm rather old fashioned and prefer not to use these modern gadgets and apps for accuracy but purely as a guide.

Reason: Clarification
I'm on Android 14 and also on version v1.12.4193 of the app and only have:
No options for filters etc. I've tried to find an expert mode but I can't find one!
Now that interesting it looks to me like you have the old usage screen. It's the one we used to have. The new is a vertical bar graph. Is yours horizontal?
I'd be tempted to clear app data and cache, uninstall, reboot device, reinstall, re-register, wait 24/48hrs and see if you get the new display. No guarantee though.

TBH I had never noticed this filter before until now but I can confirm that I see what you see 👍 on v1.12.4193 on Android 13.0
BTW it appears that the Eon Next app was automatically updated on 18th December 2024 so my version is bang-up-to-date.
