Also note that I'm no longer on dual fuel - the electricity is on Reward days 12m V2 while my gas is on Fixed 12m v28.
They run out at different times but I'm confident that I'll manage that.😎
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@meldrewreborn Information on tariff changes is fine and should be shown, but leave the 'You Can Save ' bit out. May be change it to 'This New Tariff Might be of Interest '.
It's really up to the customer to see if they benefit or not. Pen, paper, and a dash of arithmetic. 😁
Perhaps they should print a QR code so that we can get to the information quickly with precision.
I very nearly switched from Drive V3 to Drive V4 as the electricity savings were genuinely good, but they'd sneakily upped the gas tariff & s/c so overall it would have cost a lot more ... grrrr🤬
Will wait until the spring to switch to V4, when the c/h is off 👍
I rarely pay any attention to the suggested tariff savings: Previously when I was with BG I would get an email saying which tariff would save me money, but when I logged in to change that tariff often no longer existed, so it's not only EOn who are misleading.
Note that I've now got gas and electric on different tariffs!!
@meldrewreborn was the statement by email or letter and have you checked online to see if the V2 is still available to you? If it's not please let me know and I will feed it back 😊

the statement was by email, dated and received yesterday , but V2 was not an option open to me online. So I had to phone to get the offer. Which is why the concept that humans are redundant is flawed.
Also note that I'm no longer on dual fuel - the electricity is on Reward days 12m V2 while my gas is on Fixed 12m v28.
They run out at different times but I'm confident that I'll manage that.😎
Hold up...I've missed something here...a week ago you mentioned you didn't have your smart meter yet. Now you're on a 'smart' tariff. You've got a new meter then and gone over to the dark side?
That just leaves me in the dark ages then!
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I'm still using old tech. I know the kettle has gone on because I put it on!
Technically my tariffs have required me to have a smart meter (if eligible, which I'm not) but obviously I can't have Drive or anything needing half-hourly readings.
Mind you, for electric only, I'm still far better off on my 24m fix than I would be under any other deal, so I'm not too fussed.
I’ve been on smart tariffs probably for 18 months at least, but I confess my smart meters were finally installed yesterday.
my IHD is working, although I’m not fully up to speed with it yet , but have noticed an indicator detects when the kettle goes on - progress eh?
😎😎
Be still my beating heart!!! I never ever thought this day would happen, welcome to the new world @meldrewreborn 😅 While you get to grips with the IHD it would be awesome if you could give us a new thread on your experience with it I think we would all be eager to hear your thoughts!
