Just ran the numbers for my below average dual fuel usage with Next Fixed 18m v5 (seemingly £50 per fuel exit fee).
For my latest usage of 2368kWh Electric and 6482 kWh this works out at an annual rate of £1286.94 v my projected cost of £1285.69 on my present fix (Next Secure Fixed 24m v2) which still works out a little cheaper. Looking much closer than anything I've since April but needless to say I'm staying put. 😁
Of course the numbers will be different depending on your usage but this looks a decent tariff for those say on Next Flex who want price certainty.
The benefits will differ according to the fuel mix of customers, and whether they are low or large users.
If the standing charges have been lowered compared to the OFGEM price cap amounts then it will favour low users. If the Gas price has been lowered then it will favour those with gas. We're all individuals and the devil is in the detail - something those in the MSM cannot get their minds around.
For the record my electricity is circa 1580 KwH per annum, so lower than yours, but my Gas is 12562kWh, so nearly double yours and £1344 projected cost on my tariff. Different fuel mixes but similar annual bills. Spooky or what?🤓
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
My total energy bill for the year is going to be a shade under £1100. The biggest saving for me is not paying gas standing charges.
It still represents about 23% of my annual income though 🤔
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
