@meldrewreborn The IHD is less than 12 months old but the smart meters are not. I am awaiting information back from the manufacturer and Eon-next on steps forwards. As it could be something Eon are doing behind the scenes to get it working. All parties are aware so just waiting to find out next steps
Also be aware that the data on the IHD comes from the meter itself, and if the meter isn't holding the data properly, no IHD will display what isn't available. The fault could (only could) be in the meter.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
@meldrewreborn - Thats my issue at the moment. makers of the IHD saying its eon. eon are saying its not them and no one willing to sort it. which is why its with the energy ombudsman. But as i said over the weekend the IHD drop complete connection so the ihd is showing nothing now.
Eon will try and do a reconnect with it but it might take a few says. And this evening the makers of the IHD have offered a replacement. I dont want to make to many changes while its being investigated by the ombudsman. I will keep this updated when i have more information
If the ombudsman learns of the offer of a replacement then they may close the complaint. If you take the replacement and that still doesn't work, then you've got a big stick to cane Eon Next with. Tactically I'd go that way, and it has the advantage of moving things alone quite a bit more quickly than the ombudsman would, we've read of ombudsman rulings still not being actioned quickly, if at all!.
@meldrewreborn The ombudsman are fully aware of everything and i am in contact with them most days with updates going on. ( They have over 20 pages of information i have submitted.) I am waiting an update from the IHD company about the replacement.
my own experience with the communications ombudsman was positive, but several forum members have had less than glowing experiences with the energy ombudsman. I think that the same organisation covers both topics, just with a different label. So there are no guarantees.
