I'm not sure how legal this is but I am in credit on my account and when I try and lower my direct debits each month they set a benchmark as to how low this can be. ??
I have never been in debit or any form of debt to Eon yet they set the DD tariff so that I am constantly in credit !!
I think this takes away customers consumer choice !
Any thoughts please
@Ceinwen Probably the best thing to do is change to a Variable Direct Debit as long as you don't mind it being higher during the winter months. It means your credit will become zero and you only pay for what you use. You will need to contact Customer Services to do that.
Fixed DDs are affected by the Estimated Average Usage and Estimated Average Cost that are the result of an industrial algorithm.

Reason: Extra information
you can contact them with up to date readings , demand (yes) return of your credit and set a new DD for the next 12 months. It will mean your account will go into debit quite quickly.
