Hi. Can anyone tell me what hours the night rate tariff applies to, please?
Also, will this change this weekend when me move the clocks back one hour?
Cheers
Pete
It will depend on your meter time code and supplier region which can be found and decoded from your MPAN on your bill.
The MPAN or supply number is the two rows of numbers prefixed with a large S
The first digits on the top row should be anything other than 01 for a two-rate meter. The next three digits are your meter time pattern. The first two digits on the bottom row are your supply region.
If you can give us that information, we can decode your off-peak hours for you, and let you know whether you will be affected by the clock changes. 😎
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
Nice one 👍. Your region is East Midlands and your off peak times are 01:00-08:00 clock time. That is to say, you shouldn't have to worry about GMT/BST changes. Obviously it will depend on the accuracy of your meter's internal clock.
@retrotecchie, that's great information, thank you.
Contrasts with a WhatsApp convo that I had with EON when they advised me that my off peak time is 00.15am until 07.15am.
I have an EV and electric underfloor heating so it's important to get this right!

To the best of my knowledge, there aren't any economy 7 time patterns that have 15 minute offsets. Timings are usually on the hour or half hour.
I may be wrong, but I've never seen a time pattern in any region that doesn't stick to that standard.
Some E7 timing patterns have splits. That is to say, something like 11pm to midnight and then 1am to 7 am with the hour between midnight and 1am being a peak period, but even these are not very common.
