It says single phase, so it's not a 3 phase meter....unless you have three of them! That beast dates back to the late 1960s.Last edited by retrotecchie; 11-10-24 at 11:22.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -

I'd be interested to see a photo of the main incomer and how it is wired to those three meters. I'd be willing to bet that the DNO disconnect is likely a little 'non-standard' or not conforming to modern standards which may involve a visit from the DNO to rectify any issues before any attempt can be made by the supplier to alter the meter setup.

This is circa late 70's and should have been changed ages ago and I have been trying to chase them for the past 5 years. They are obliged to address this but couldn't even give monkey's

You would likely have been trying since before E.On Next came into existence then.
The meters are obsolete and out of their certification window so need changing - that's pretty certain.
The incomer and fusing for those three meters is likely to be rather non-standard and will likely need to be reconfigured or replaced in order to be compliant with modern practices. That is the responsibility of your DNO.
The problem arises in that any work carried out by the DNO can't be organised or put into place without instruction from your supplier. They have to raise the work order with the DNO.
So, you will need to get E.On Next to send a meter engineer to do an assessment and then they will have to notify the DNO as to what works are required. Once the corrective works (if any) have been carried out, then fitting a modern three-phase meter should not present any major issues.
But, and this is the BIG BUT...the customer service advisors don't have a Scooby when it comes to this sort of thing! You will have a tough time trying to get through to anyone who has the knowledge or the necessary know-how to organise anything that isn't on their simple 'cheat sheet'.
What I can do is point this thread in the direction of one of the Nexties who may be able to delve deeper into the issue for you and possibly might have an idea of who needs to be kicked to try and get this sorted out for you. So I'm going to tag @Connor_EONNext and see if he can look into this for you.

@retrotecchie believe me I have tried to kick up as much fuss in a very civilised manner, even got the CEO team involved, but they couldn't care less
