I have a 4KW solar array pre 2012 so get the maximum fit payment and the 50% export payment, I also use an immersun to heat the hot water tank through the summer from the solar. I have now a 8Kw battery storage system installed. Which fully charges through the day currently and discharges my base load through the night What’s a good tariff to be on? to charge the battery up at night and even boost my immersun to heat up the tank.
If you have a fully working smart meter, with your preferences set to half-hourly readings, then the Next Drive is possibly your best bet. Otherwise, if you already have an Economy 7 setup then I'd stay on that.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I appreciate this was a couple of weeks ago, but I am just checking in to see how you got with selecting your tariff? As @retrotecchie advised you have the Next Drive tariff which gives you lower-priced electricity at 6.7p per kWh when you charge between 12am and 7am. You can find further information on our website https://www.eonnext.com/tariffs/next-drive.
Let us know if there's anything else you need 😊

Hi thanks for your message. I’m still waiting for my smart meters to be fitted 1st November. What I need to double check is the drive tariff able to let me do the washing, drying, dishwasher use and charge my battery system up to use through the day also heat my hot water tank up for the morning use? As we don’t currently have an EV . Or do I need to look at an alternative tariff do meet our needs. Thanks

Hi,
Further to the drive tarrif do I have to fill in some declaration forms before I can get the drive tariff. I want it to charge my battery system up over night and heat up my water tank etc. Plus I don’t want to loose my current Fit payments .Note I don’t have an EV to charge.
