Hi
we're planning on upgrading our house supply fuse from 60a to 100a. I'd just like to know what eon smart meters are rated for as I plan to switch to eon.
(I know that octopus meters are only rated for 80amps).
Thanks

Reason: Update title
I suspect that most people get what the installer had on the van that day. It may be possible to pre specify a particular meter with the required capacity, but you’d have to be a customer for that. @retrotecchie may know how common 100a rated meters are.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
The standard smart meter is 100A. That's for a single phase meter. If it's a three-phase meter, they are limited to 80A.
However, going from 60A to 100A may well require updating the meter tails from the meter to the consumer unit, and that's not the metering team's bailiwick.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
No. Everything after the meter is the bailiwick of the consumer. A 60A supply would usually have 16 mm2 meter tails to the consumer unit (although newer installations may possibly have 25 mm2) so uprating the supply will usually need the tails swapping by your own electrician at the same time as the meter is swapped. So that's the DNO, a meter engineer AND your sparky, all at the same time. Possibly not so simples 🤣
