Hey @garyfrog,
It's lovely to see you back on the community 😊 At the moment we are still prepping for winter and we don't yet know what plans are going to be in place for customers who may be struggling. I would keep an eye on the Affordability and announcement section as this is most likely where we will update with the latest support.
In the meantime if you're struggling get in touch with our energy specialists and they will be able to take a thorough look over your account and give you advice on your best options or solutions.
Did you know that we also offer Energy Efficiency advice and solutions we're always here to make sure you have everything you need so it always worth having a little look to see if we can give you a helping hand.
Keep popping back and I'll be sure to tag you with our update! 😊Last edited by Anasa_EONNext; 08-09-24 at 09:22.

Hi,
I can only assume that this scheme is not happening this year. I haven’t seen any announcements and much colder weather.
I haven’t been able to put my heating on.
I hope eon will update us and make the necessary changes that we all need. -
@Prettyeyez
I’m not aware of any schemes (except the winter fuel payment from the government) stopping this year, although whether eligibility requirements stay the same is another matter.
because there are a number of different schemes can you be specific - using the correct name for the scheme - so that we can comment correctly.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless. -

I think E.On Next had a couple of special tariffs last winter for those who had qualifying circumstances. IIRC, @Mailman was on one of these, saving 25%. I've not heard that they are running the scheme again this year.
Here is the info from last year.Last edited by retrotecchie; 3 Weeks Ago at 15:54.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -
Indeed I was last winter. Now I'm on the State pension I don't qualify as I don't get Pension Credit which also means no WFA either. 😥
Mercifully the kWh cost of my energy now is lower than what I was paying last winter.

@meldrewreborn
It was The Winter Support Scheme where there was 25% and 50% reduction on a special tariff. The OP mentioned this, so I was just responding as eon haven’t mentioned anything.
Such a shame as now the weather has turned much colder. -
@Prettyeyez I was only thinking of schemes provided generally, not thinking of special tariffs. There is time for something similar to emerge again, but I recognise it’s getting late for any announcement.. The multiplicity of schemes leads to confusion and people missing out.
