Best AnswerMorning @ryane,
I'm one of the coordinators in the community it's lovely to virtually "meet" you! This sounds like you may have had a catch up bill, was your account billed to estimates or un-billed for a period of time? You can view your meter readings and your statements if you log into your online account so you can see exactly what you have been billed to and for what period 😊
If your account has been estimated over 12 months or un-billed for over 12 months you may be eligible for backbilling however our energy specialists will be able to advise you further on this."Green is the prime colour of the world and that from which it's loveliness arises"-Pedro Calderon De La Barca 🌳

Although you shouldn’t have to do it, you could have taken you readings, calculated your bills yourself and paid money into your account, or perhaps saved the money in an interest bearing account.
paying £5 per month doesn’t even cover standing charges, let alone any energy use. We don’t have any insight into your exchanges with customer services, but failures all around it seems.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio.
