Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.
I'm going to suggest that the climate protesters might garner more public support by carrying out their activities outside the embassies of all those polluters that currently (and will continue to) produce way more GHG's than the UK currently does (be it on a per capita basis or on a gross share % basis). Thank goodness Wimbledon was spared the ignominy of having any of their tennis courts interfered with.
The point about population is relevant as well. Although India and Indonesia are less in the per capita tables their populations push them both massively into the gross table. The top 6 countries in the table produce 58.3% of the global emissions and China is nearly 1/3 of the whole shebang.
Oh well, I'm doing my bit having gone up to get some border edging for for garden via the bus service yesterday 😁. All will be well in the UK it seems with the introduction/continuation of schemes over the next 5 years which may well see the UK going that extra mile slipping into Division 2 😉. Not so sure that this pace of GHG reductions will happen in the countries that it needs to happen in, but at least we will be able to all sleep soundly in the UK knowing that we will have done at least some of our collective bit if we listen to our newly-elected saviours. 🤨
Do we really have to listen out for the newly elected government? Yes just as we lookout for pickpockets and other thieves.
Having worked in the civil service for many years I subscribe to the view that many are grossly inefficient and wasteful - and the best way to limit that waste is to give them less money.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.

I'm waiting for the bubble to burst - already there are early signs that Labour will find that process of governing is much much harder than the job of 'holding to account' from the opposition benches. Energy policy is just one of these that sounds much easier on paper than putting said doctrine into reality to achieve the aims set out. Lots of meetings and converstions (and enquiries) going on seemingly. Whether meaningful change happens remains to be seen but I really have my doubts having seen quite a few elections now.
