Using a battery only with no wind or PV is not acceptable for SEG purposes. Most SEG applications require an installation diagram and specifications of the equipment used. There usually needs to be some clarification that the battery cannot backfeed the grid. That may have changed but I'm pretty sure it's not allowed last time I checked the rules.
Fortunately that doesn't apply to me, I have PV+Batteries but I'd like to know explicitly if discharging from the battery is allowed or not.

For me anyway I'm not looking to dump all 14kWh of power as I like to keep 2/3s as reserve but GivEnergy does advise to discharge a system fully every 1-2 weeks to help SOC calculations + assuming it also helps with maintenance etc.
