Thank you, my original post question is still to be answered by an expert 😊
SEG - Rumours of direct debit for payment
-
@Thewookiewon SEG payments can be made via Cheque or Direct debit 😊 If you are trying to set up your banking details via your online account, are you currently managing the SEG account on the online account when trying to set this up?
For direct debit amendments on SEG accounts it would be best to contact the SEG team directly on 0808 501 5218 -
Yes I'm using the SEG online account, when I called the above number they just advised to try online.
The online method though asks to set a direct debt account. -
They need the Direct Debit set up in order to make direct payments to a bank account rather than to send you a cheque for payments. If it's a SEG account, they'll be paying into it rather than debiting it. They may possibly take a single payment, maybe £1, which they will then credit back just to ensure the bank details are indeed valid.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -
@Thewookiewon If amending the direct debit online does not allow you to set up without adding an amount to be taken monthly, I would advise to re-contact the SEG team directly via their phone number 0808 501 5218. They are open Mon - Fri - 9-5 they should then be able to remove any payment schedule amount if that has been set up or set up the banking details for you.
Unfortunately our energy specialist would be unable to amend any SEG banking details and this would need to be completed by the SEG team directly - please pop back though and let us know how you got on with up dating your details and if you had to contact the team, we'd love to know how your customer journey went. 🙂Last edited by Anasa_EONNext; 1 Week Ago at 10:45.
