Rate changes from 1 July 2024
-
Hi. I live in South West England. Pay by direct debit and am on Next Flex tariff. Following rate changes on 1 July my peak rate has gone down but off peak rate is unchanged. Is there anyone else in the South West whose off peak rate is unchanged? I have Solar panels and use virtually no peak rate in the summer so my savings will be negligible.
Thanks -

Best Answer@meldrewreborn @Maldy I've had a quick look from 1st July 2024:
South Western - Economy 7 - 2 Rates - Next Flex (SVT) - Direct Debit -
- Day: 28.09 p/kWh
- Night: 10.50 p/kWh
- Standing Charge: 67.91 p/day
Hope this helps 😊Last edited by DebF_EONNext; 02-07-24 at 17:40. Reason: formatting

This is an entirely possible and legal situation, but it’s also possible that it’s an mistake.
if it is real, your day rate has decreased more than might otherwise have been the cases.
suppliers have more flexibility with multi rate tariffs to compete with each other.Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. My point was, in the South West, have any other Eon Next customers on Next Flex tariff paying by direct debit had off peak rate reductions?

Yes that is fully understood but as I’m not in that region , nor do I have peak/off peak pricing and I don’t work for Eon Next, I was doing my best to prompt the answer you want.

Could you confirm what the tariff for E7 in the south west , Net flex DD, from 1 July 2024 is, so that @maidy can know for sure if the rates are correct or not? The other nexties haven't responded, which is a shame. -
