What is the point of the account showing a recommended monthly payment if you cannot lower the payment to that amount in the account - " Sorry, this payment amount requires approval". The account is in credit and the reduction is less than 10% of the current payment.
i had this with EDF. The amount they were suggesting was erroneous because they had updated their system and not transferred the historic data. The refusal to accept the lower amount turned out to be entirely sensible. A telephone call got us to an acceptable amount.

DD credited today leaving account in credit (higher than last month's) and system allowed me to reduce the DD the full 10% to a couple of pounds below the new (lower than last month's) recommended amount. Seems likely the credit last month was not sufficient to allow a change.
