Hi there, we recently moved to Eon and previously had an IHD that worked perfectly (Pipit 500). However, since moving over to Eon, it just says it's giving estimated readings. At first I thought that the Smart meter itself wasn't working (Secure Liberty 100 - photo attached), as our account had asked for a reading, but we've just had our first bill and it says that they're Smart meter readings, so I guess it's just the IHD.
I've looked at other posts and there is some suggestion about un-pairing and re-pairing the IHD, but it's not clear how to do this. There is a 'Network' tab, but it asks for a PIN that I don't think we know.
It can take up to six weeks for everything to work properly after switching supplier. You could try switching off and unplugging the IHD and then taking it to the meter and switching it on again and leaving it there until it communicates. You can then take it back to its rightful place and plug it in again.
I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit.
Hi Joe, thanks for that. The Pipit 500 only works when plugged in, but there's a socket near the meter, so I've plugged it in and put it in the cupboard, so we'll see what happens🤞
Hi there, sorry it took a while to reply, but I've now had a look and compared the statements section of the our account, and the bills and they seem to tie in, so I guess it's all good.
Thanks for that suggestion.

I've changed suppliers a number of times and the IHD never needed to be re-paired - the security credentials of your ihd will be stored on the meter, so afaik nothing should have changed between the meter/ihd connection wise.
So I wonder if it's just an unfortunate coincidence that your IHD has just lost contact with the meter, which they sometimes seem to do.
