In the UK, around 153,000 people are already living with Parkinson’s.
On Thursday the 11th a group called the Movers and Shakers are presenting a Charter to Number 10. It is a list of things all sufferers should have a right to expect from a functioning health service and a caring care system.
The Movers and Shakers are 6 friends who suffer the degenerative effects of PD, and produce regular podcasts.
They are: High Court Judge Sir Nicholas Mostyn (retd), Gillian Lacey-Solymar, Rory Cellan-Jones, Mark Mardell, Jeremy Paxman, and Vicar of Dibley writer Paul Mayhew-Archer.
My brother has suffered from PD for about 20 years.
