Hi, I’m currently with Octopus, and my smart meters stopped sending readings recently, meaning I’m having to provide manual reads until they can send someone out at end of April, however I’d like to move to E.ON Next before then, if I move will E.ON Next send someone out to sort it, or as it’s already not working, would they expect I get my current supplier Octopus to fix it first? Thanks
Provided you can send in manual reads it’s unlikely you would be prioritised for an engineer visit. Liability to repair rests with your current supplier, whoever that is at the time.
suppliers repair performance has ben poor in the past but they’ve made commitments to improve. The jury is out on that one.
