Try also getting a quote for an air conditioner with good heat pump CoP such as https://crwltd.co.uk/mhi-wall-mounte...rter-709-p.asp.
Mine is about half that size, to suit the requirements of a 2 bedroom house and in order to get the electricity use down to low enough that my 2.5kW(peak) solar panels are making plenty of electricity for it to use 0.7kW(electrical) for 2kW(heating) from hazy imperfect sun.
An air conditioner doesn't get the big government subsidy for gas boiler removals, but does not need it. It doesn't make hot water, for which you keep your existing. The blower heats mainly one room, and you can open the door to let heat go further. I got mine to decrease my carbon dioxide but it also decreases bills by heating mainly the particular room which I want heated and by doing so partly from free solar power.
Welcome to the community, it's great to hear that you're thinking about heat pumps as a solution 😊 I often see in the media heat pumps getting a bit of a bad rep but from hearing customer experiences I have to say the reviews tend to be mixed some absolutely love them and some hate them with a passion.
I guess it really depends on what you feel is the best solution for your home and your own personal circumstances. I would say do your research and find out more about how they work and what the benefits are.
I see that you've had some good links above. @WizzyWigg has provided a link to a Heat Pump review by P962c this is very balanced and outlines their pro's and con's. Perhaps @P962c will be able to give you some more insight along with @wizzo227 🍃

I've just done some looking up and some of the newer heat pumps (of the plumbed in to the central heating radiators type) seem to be better than others at quiet steady running for lowest bills. I just read about someones' "5kW" rated unit being run continuously at 2.1kW thermal output from 0.38kW electrical input. That is a CoP of 2.1/0.38 = 5.5 which is above the ratio of electricity:gas price per kWh, so is a bill saver by comparison to the 101% efficient ideal new gas heater. Beware though that 5kW won't heat a large or draughty house in the winter and not all heat pumps are reported to run as well as that one did.
