How long does it take for EON to start using my smart meter data?
How long typically for EON to see my smart meter after joining

Hi, I've just joined and a week later I still have no smart meter data displayed in the website or app. The data is still available from the DCC as I can see it through my Loop Energy app.
How long does it take for EON to start using my smart meter data? -

Generally you should allow up to six weeks from installation for smart meters to become fully functional.I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit. -

What have you got your smart meter reading preferences set to? If you have the default monthly setting, you will only see data in your account when the meter is read for billing purposes, so it rather depends on when your usual meter reading date is scheduled.
You can change your pretences in the app or in your online account.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -
That's annoying if it is 6 weeks as this is costing a fortune. Octopus and Loop Energy both had my data after the first day.
There are no settings for smart meter readings in the app or website. However strangely I have two accounts. One has a lightning mark next to it. -
It can be up to six weeks on switching until fully functional. That doesn’t mean it costs any more than it would whatever the functionality. Maybe we don’t have your full story. The meter readings will still be being used to produce your bills.
Even with your settings to half-hourly, which you can find in Profile and Data Settings from memory, you will still only see monthly smart meter readings or manual readings in your account.
In the app, your usage has a flash for electricity and a flame for gas… again from memory. The usage data in the app is always a few days out of date in any case so I would stick to other apps like Loop or Bright.Last edited by JoeSoap; 10-02-24 at 14:31. Reason: Added a bit

Thanks, it's because I was looking to get on the Next Flex Car tariff. All the time I'm not on it means its costing me more than if I'd not left my previous one.
I have been unable to find anything for smart meter settings.
There is a window that has the text under my account. 'We’ll let you know when there are appointments available in your area so you can say goodbye to meter readings and hello to a smarter home.' This is a little concerning as I have a smart meter that is functioning. I don't want to be fobbed off for weeks unnecessarily.
Ah, so the other account must be an inactive gas one as I don't have any. Cheers for your help. -

Why not get in touch with Customer Service to chase the switch to Next Drive? Contact details are in the purple section at the bottom of this page. If phoning you will probably have to wait until Monday. -

For Smart Meter settings in your account you need to go to 'Profile' in the App or 'My Account' then 'Your Settings' in the online account and scroll down to 'Smart Meter Data Preferences'.
