Hi. I lost the will to live as was in dispute with EDF that went to Ombudsman who seemed to think there was an easy way to ‘reset’ the meter but didn’t know how. I wanted to be able to choose dual rate functiality as both the old EOn meter and the new meter installed by EDF could only do single rate however EDF released me from the dual rate contract as it couldn’t be fulfilled and I’m now with another provider. As at that point it was more economical to have a single rate contract I haven’t bothered to pursue this - exhausted from the year long EDF wrangle - and as I’ve got a 2 yr contract and it’s a leased property with 2 more years on the lease I’ll worry about it again if I have to then. Only other irritant is this new meter is unable to become Smart so I’m having to report monthly readings and I’m thinking it’s to do with being in a property with rubbish internet and walls a foot thick. Sent to try us.

Oh no @Hairdressers that sounds like such a hassle, I'm sorry you had such a rubbish journey!
@meldrewreborn is right it won't be down to the internet as smart meters use a different signal but things like big thick walls, even a tree in the way can cause it to fail which is such a shame as some people love a smart meter, they do make things so much easier 😊 Hopefully signal will be improved and you'll get there with is one day! Thanks for sharing your update with us ✨
