Hi I am thinking about switching over to the EON Next Drive Tariff and wondered if running a plug-in hybrid that is owned by my company, but which I have sole use would make me eligible?
I also live in a property that has a large E7 usage for the heating & hot water (no gas in the village) hence the other reason for moving over to that tariff.
The vehicle you drive or have access to makes no difference to eligibility. To be eligible, you need fully a fully working smart meter and your reading preferences set to half-hourly frequency. Is all.
If I had a smart meter (I don't and can't have one as they don't work in my village) I could happily apply for Next Drive even though I drive a far more environmentally friendly diesel car. They don't need your vehicle details to be eligible.
Living in a village off the gas grid is something I'm very used to as well. Thank goodness oil-fired heating is much cheaper than gas and a fraction of the price of electricity 👍
If you have E7 already, there won't be any issues. They'll just adjust your on-peak, off-peak and standing charge rates without having to change the meter if you already have smart. If you don't have a smart meter, you're going to have to get one.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons.

I don’t think the ownership would be relevant, very few people actually own the vehicles they drive nowadays because of the wide variety of finance methods used.
Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but I’ll continue to express my opinions nonetheless.
