We are a business customer taking supply for landlord's services in two apartment blocks. The larger one, we successfully had a smart meter fitted over a year ago. The smaller one has had five visits from Eon Next and so far they have been unable to fit a smart meter, the reason being given is that the fuses are 200 amps(they were 100 amps in the other block which uses more electricity, I suspect that the 200 amp fuses need to be changed and have been there since it was first connected as a builder's supply)
At first, the agent dealing with us told us that Scottish Power had been contacted regarding work they needed to do first before a smart meter could be fitted, she had already been told that SP say If the supplier requires our attendance for any work to facilitate the installation of a smart meter they must request this from us directly. They do this by sending a D0135 data flow detailing exactly what work is required. This is the standard industry process for these requests and if the supplier can get this sent across we can then get the relevant work arranged.
This has not happened as I have contacted SP direct. The latest from the Eon Next person dealing with the query was that we just cannot have a smart meter, if that is the case, why did Eon Next fit one in the other block.
Perhaps a Community Manager could send me a PM with an email address that we can contact to get this sorted out,
Thank You in anticipation
