planners don’t like suburban housing because it’s inefficient in terms of occupants per sq km. they want us all in high rises. Likewise left wing politicians only like cars for themselves, while the plebs make do with public transport.
Cars for the masses was a great liberating development, shame about the environment but who cares? The young, apparently eco conscious, travel much more than their elders did or do, so it’s do as I say not as I do.
