Had you expressed your number to more precision (3.14159 etc) I might have twigged on but unfortunately I failed to see what you were driving at. π Nice to try and keep us on our toes. π
I'll be striving for my own perfection this afternoon imbibing some liquid gold and have measured out 919.447millilitres of the stuff. The ratio of this alcohol is as important as the ratio itself. πΊ -
I think I would have spotted 3.142 but 3.14 wasnβt close enough to make me think of Pi.I'm an Eon Next dual fuel customer with no particular expertise but have some time on my hands that I am using to try and help out a bit. -

Quite frankly my taste buds are not that honed, and I always take my whisky diluted with something fizzy. Sacrilege I know, but even worse would be inflicting such treatment on an expensive single malt. So I tend to stick to well known blended brands (I'm not too fussy which) when they're on offer, or recently in the Doha duty free shop!Current Eon Next customer, ex EDF, Zog and Symbio. Don't think dual fuel saves money and don't like smart meters. Chronologically Gifted. If I offend let me know by private message, but Iβll continue to express my opinions nonetheless. -
To all and sundry , I apologise profusely for my lack of precision for Pi, but my electricity results were what they were, and It never crossed my mind that I should tweak them to fit into my whimsical notion. I will prostrate myself before you all and beg forgiveness.
Note that I didn't say when I would do that!π€£ -
Absolutely nothing wrong with a mainstream blended whisky. I haven't been through Doha Duty Free since 2018, but when I was doing ten or fifteen trips a year they usually had an acceptable White and Mackay or a Grouse at a very attractive price π. That's if the boss hadn't put in dibs on a bottle of Bombay Sapphire and blown my quota π€£π€£π€£. Mind you, in return, I'd nobble his baccy ration to make up for it.Last edited by retrotecchie; 19-12-23 at 19:18.
Don't shoot me, I'm only the piano player. I DON'T work for or on behalf of EON.Next, but am willing to try and help if I can. Not on mains gas, mobile network or mains drainage. House heated almost entirely by baby dragons. -
Anyone got a follow up?
@meldrewreborn, I too am really hurt and disappointed so I know how you are feeling although mine was an irrational outburst
try solving x (squared) - x - 1 =0 to lead you down another rabbit hole π€£
